You can delete your GOG Lab account whenever you like, together with all the data linked to it, in every app. This page explains how and what happens next. If you only want to delete some data and keep the account, go to the Data deletion page.
Please note: uninstalling an app does not delete the account.
1. From the app (GogTerre, GogAste, GogDesk)
- Open the app and go to Account.
- Tap Delete account and confirm with your password. If you sign in with Google or Apple, the app asks you to sign in again before confirming.
- From that moment the account is locked and can no longer be used. You receive a confirmation email.
- You have 7 days to change your mind: just use the “cancel” link in the email. After 7 days the account and its data are deleted for good and we send you a final email.
2. Pronto Esame and the website’s Account area
Write to [email protected] from your account’s email address, with the subject “GOG Lab account deletion”. If you write from another address, we will ask you to confirm the account is yours. We delete the account within 30 days and confirm it by email.
You can use this route for the other apps too, if you prefer or can no longer sign in.
3. What is deleted
- Your profile: email, name, photo, language, linked Google or Apple sign-ins (the Apple one is also revoked).
- All app data: Pronto Esame results and statistics, generated business plans, GogTerre parcels, owners, groups, photos, documents and deadlines, devices registered for notifications, preferences.
- Open sessions on every device.
4. What remains
- Purchases: the data the law requires us to keep for accounting remains, no longer linked to you.
- Security logs: entries needed as a record of what happened remain, but without your name, email or IP address.
- Backups: the data also disappears from backups, which overwrite themselves, within six months at most. Until then it is not used.
5. Before you delete the account
- Subscriptions bought on Google Play or the App Store: deleting the account does not cancel them. Cancel them in the store, or the store will keep charging you.
- GogDesk: if you are the owner of a business, first hand the owner role to a colleague. If there is nobody else in the business, write to us and we will help you close the business account too.
- If you want a copy of your data, ask for it before deleting the account: afterwards it cannot be recovered.
